Fleet efficiency is the foundation of successful fleet management. Today, vehicles in fleets up and down the country are likely to have at least some form of camera and telematics system installed.  The transport and logistics industry is no different.

There’s no doubt that telematics and CCTV can have huge cost savings for any fleet, but using the right system and getting the most out of it, isn’t always easy.

On the 7^th of December Anaeko in association with Digital Leaders, hosted a roundtable. The goal of the event was to bring together key stakeholders to explore the potential for delivering all-island cancer data infrastructure, aligning with the All-Island eHealth Hub for Cancer, a €4M Hub of Excellence funded through the Higher Education Authority’s North South Research Programme. The primary focus of the event was to define the core data infrastructure and identify partners willing to help pump-prime this initiative.

Bus Éireann helps people all across the country make over 80 million journeys every year, as Ireland’s national bus company, their purpose is to connect people with who and what matters to them, helping to make life better.

Nolan Transport Group is a family-owned business that has been operating since 1963. Currently, we employ over a thousand people and manage 2,700 freight units. This means we have a significant number of employees and a vast fleet of vehicles, resulting in a complex operation with many moving parts. All these moving parts generate valuable data that plays a crucial role in guiding our business decisions, both in the present and for the future.

Transportation accounts for a significant portion of global carbon emissions, with the road transport sector being a major contributor. Transport-related emissions make up 16.2% of the global total, and road transport alone accounted for 11.9%. In the UK, transport contributes to 34% of the country's carbon emissions. The challenges are expected to intensify as road use and aviation demand increase in the coming years. These alarming statistics highlight the need for immediate action to curb emissions and adopt sustainable practices in the transportation industry.

The purpose of the UK public sector and the NHS is to provide services that benefit all citizens and  patients, while also  managing these services, on a day - to - day basis .  Yet many organisations within the public sector and the NHS can not  do this as efficiently as they should  because they don’t have a full 360 degree view of their data  or "One Source of the Truth" . They m ay not have the skills, tools or permission to access and interpret data that could help them achieve their purpose more effectively. This was  one of the main reasons  why the Government announced its Shared Services Strategy in 2021.

Varsha Modake has worked in the tech industry for over a decade, taking on various roles within her career from team lead to software engineer. With an array of international experience under her belt and credits on a number of large scale projects, we want to learn more about Varsha and her journey too Anaeko. 

Dylan Wall is a newbie to the tech industry in Northern Ireland beginning his career within the team at Anaeko. With a large amount of experience under his belt already and an enthusiasm to develop and innovate in the future, we want to look at Dylan's journey from graduate to Software Engineer at Anaeko.

Emma Foster has worked in the tech industry for over a decade, taking on various roles within her career from web design to digital marketing. Emma’s vast experience has led to her current UX Lead position at Anaeko .
